Fun surprise from YouTube in the mail this morning: a plaque commemorating our SuperDataScience Podcast channel for growing to 100,000 subscribers!
A year ago, we had 25,000 subscribers but today we've grown to over 128,000 thanks to a strategic shift from being an audio-first podcast to a video-first one.
Thanks to everyone on the team for working so hard to get us here:
The founder and original host of the podcast, Kirill Eremenko, who's the visionary behind most of the great strategic moves we make, including the recent push to video.
Media editor, Mario Pombo, who has a particular knack for video and who provided invaluable YouTube video formatting tips.
Operations manager, Sonja Brajovic, who carried out tons of detailed research on the podcast-format changes we should make when shifting to being video-forward.
Partnerships manager, Natalie Ziajski, who keeps the lights on on the show, enabling any of this to be possible.
Researcher Serg Masís; the brain behind all the best topics and questions I have for guests on the show.
Magnificent writer, Dr. Zara Karschay.
YouTube Shorts animator, Anthony Gagnon.
YouTube channel manager, Chad Gravallese, who patiently and thoroughly responds to endless questions on subscriber growth from Kirill and me!
And special mention to Nathan Daly, who modernized our revenue-generation processes, platforms and approach earlier this year — this was pivotal to enabling the success we enjoy today.
Now, onward to a million subscribers :)
