Jon Krohn, Cajoler of Datums

As a Wellcome Trust Doctoral Scholar and Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholar, I completed a Doctorate in Neuroscience at Oxford University. I had the pleasure of representing the constituent Magdalen College in team sports, as well being its social secretary for graduates and admiral of its fleet of recreational boats. I was fortunate to be supervised by internationally-leading researchers: clinical geneticist Prof. Jonathan Flint and statistical geneticist Prof. Richard Mott.

Previously, I obtained a Bachelor of Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, during a period that it ranked consistently as one of the top five undergraduate institutions in Canada. I was awarded a dozen undergraduate scholarships for academics, leadership, and volunteerism, including receiving the Governor General of Canada's Academic Medal for attaining the highest grade point average of the 2261 graduates in my cohort.
